Usually the credit card statement displays two limits; the cash advance limit and the credit limit. As mentioned, cash advance loans can be taken against the credit card and against the paycheck. In case of the former, the cash advance can be obtained by simply swiping the credit card at an ATM. However, in case of the latter, the borrower has to provide his pay stub as collateral to the lender to qualify for the cash advance loan.

However, cash advance loans can also be availed through the retail lenders present in each city and town. Whatever the mode of obtaining the cash advance loan, the borrower must remember that the cash advance loans attract a slightly higher interest rate and therefore restrict the use of such loans for emergencies only.
If it seems imperative to take a cash advance, the borrower must chalk out plans to repay the loan, seriously. The non-payment of cash advances can lead to further interest charges, which wipes out any benefit accrued from taking the loan in the first place. Therefore, one should take a cash advance loan only if it is unavoidable and must repay it on time to avoid the vicious circle of indebtedness.
